Re: Lanai, Divi Beach Resort

Hi, Gloria!
My wife and I honeymooned at the divi in October of 2001. At the time, the hotel and some of the grounds were under some renovations, but it wasn't nasty or anything. I'm not exactly sure what the Lanai buildings are, but I can tell you, with complete confidence, that the divi is a very nice hotel. I can easily compare it to a nice Holiday Inn...in the tropics! Nothing too fancy, but definately nothing low-end either. My wife and I really liked it alot. We loved Aruba so much, that we still visit the web sight from time to time!! Hope that helps you out. Good luck!

Re: Lanai, Divi Beach Resort

Gloria,

The lanai rooms are in a building by
itself at the end of the complex, which
overlook the ocean with nothing in front
of you but a grassy area with palm trees
before you hit the beach. Also down that end
of the complex there is a bar. very nice if
your just want to relax and enjoy the sand and sun. But back to your question, when we
walked by the lanai rooms, we asked the front
desk if we could upgrade to them and pay an
upcharge, but no room was available. If you
can budget it go for the lanai. Also you
may be able to get a map of the tam-divi off
the net and then you will see the whole
layout.
good luck
