RE: LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO STAY

Depends on what your looking for. Do you like hi rise hotels? Do you like All Inclusive?

I have stayed at the Tamarijn All Inclusive - nice place directly locetd on the beach all rooms face the ocean. All you can eat and drink. You can do the mega All-Inclusive and you can eat and drink at the Divi hotel as well and use there facilities.

Allegro (now Occidental Grand Aruba) located on the beach hi rise hotel. Did not care for this place. Rooms are run down and the quality of there food was not good. (my opinion) They also offer All Inclusive.

Radisson - I love this place. Located on the beach near all the other hi rises. I have stayed here the last 3 years and really like the atmosphere, the rooms are really nice with balconies(just renovated 2 years ago) the food and service is good. I usually book the package that includes Full Ameircan Breakfast and $200 beverage credit per room. And for dinner we like to try out the great restaurants on the island and there are alot. El Gaucho, Hostario da Vittorio, Madame Jeanette just to name a few.

Hyatt - really nice, more expensive- offers the same amenities that the Radisson offers, but has a few more restaurants. I haven't stayed here but I hear there are alot of kids by the pool. Not sure if that matters.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck. You'll love it no matter where you stay.

RE: LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO STAY

Hi Ray,
I just got back on Wednesday. Still burnt to a crisp. Could not avoid the water, stayed in the sun too long. The Playa Linda, I thought, was the most beautifull place in the Hi-rise area. Has a Restaurant and Bar right on the beach, steps from the water. The facilities were great. The Activity buses stop right there. I would say go for Rosemary's deal. You can stay at the Aruba Millennium Resort for the one night (www.arubamillenniumresort.com). They're about $110, then move to the Playa Linda which is less than a 1/4 mile down the street. That's what I did. You'll have a lot of fun, no matter what you do. Aruba is amazingly beautiful, with guaranteed sun. No one regrets a vacation to Aruba.
Have Fun.
