Hi,
Will be staying at the Ocean Club in a few weeks and have heard of renovations being done there. Are they complete? Does anyone have any pics - would appreciate it greatly!! And also how is the WIfi/Internet in the rooms? Stayed at the Surf Club last yr and as long as I plugged in, it was fine. Does the Ocean Club have the same option?

The renovations are complete and the Ocean Club is gorgeous!! Someone posted pictures on this BB so check around and you will find them.

I am assuming that the internet is the same in the OC as in the SC.

Wireless internet throughout the property will be available by late February at the OC.

The Ocean Club is completed and gorgeous! What I love about it is that they have whirlpools in the rooms, unlike the Surf. However, the Surf Club has washer/dryers in the rooms and the OC does not. You will love the Ocean Club, but I can't help with the WiFi. When I'm on vaca, I NEVER get on the internet!

Just checked the OC website, and this was posted in the most recent report in 2010.
Just like your home, our building needs to be repainted periodically. This is especially true in Aruba’s harsh climate with ever-present wind and relentless sun. Beginning early 2010, the building will be repainted with a waterproof paint specifically designed for stucco and our extreme climate. While the scaffolding is in place, windows and sliding glass doors will be recaulked and work will be done on patios to extend the useful life. There may be some noise but careful effort will be taken to limit work near occupied villas.

Anyone know how this project is coming along?
