more divi questions

You all have been so helpful! Thanks so much! I have another question. Has anyone stayed at the Divi recently? I have read several reviews stating that the beach is rocky and small, but others that state it is beautiful. For those of you that have been there within the past 6-12 months, what is the beach like?

Thanks, Samantha

Re: more divi questions

well last jan when we were there, they were placing more rock at the edge of the tam to build up the area. The beach was rocky, but I think the beach down by casa delmar was in worse shape. again that was jan 2003

Re: more divi questions

I just got back on 1-18-04 and the beach is great and the weather was great too. I was there for two weeks and all was well. You have about 1/2 of a mile of great beach.

Re: more divi questions

Some beach washed out last spring/summer, but has been restored now in the cove between the divi/tam. The beach in front of the Divi Aruba is very good. At the Tamarijn there are some areas of rock, but the beach in front of the 1900 blocks and up is fine.

Re: more divi questions

My wife and I love the Divi beach. I don't think the beach is small at all. It is kept very clean and the swimming is great! The one drawback though is the beach huts. They could use a few more, but if you're an early riser like myself, you should have no problem finding shade.

Re: more divi questions

The beach is beautiful! White powdery sand, except when you start walking into the water. Here's a hint though - we found a perfect rock-free spot by one of the little rock jetties in front of the lanais (spelling?). Get up early though - the huts get taken fast!
