We stayed there last year for 2 nights and are going back next week for the the first 2 nights of our 9 day vac. The rooms are clean but very small, similar to a motel. Nice restaurant, no real pool, but right accross the street from eagle beach, which is beautiful. Everyone working there was very friendly.

That would work for me. It's a solo trip I'm planning and thinking about.

Nice. I'm looking into booking 5 nights there in November. The price is right and so is the airfare so I should book right away.

No but I walked bye it every morning. I read a lot of great reviews in trip advisor. I should have asked them to give me a tour when I was there and let me see a room if one was unoccupied. Since this will be a solo trip and only 5 nights I'm not too fussy.

We have eaten at Tulip 3 times in the past 10 days and there were enough people staying there. I have to think that maybe this is a secret gem? The beach in that area is picture perfect.

Yes all the reviews on trip advisor were excellent. They mentioned that the staff were extremely nice and helpful, check in starts at 1pm and they have an option buffet breakfast for $8 a day. The only negative is that they have a very small pool the size of a jacuzzi but as 1 reviewer mentioned, who needs a pool when you have Eagle Beach. Also no microwave in the room or coffee maker but a fridge and you have to get ice from the bar. Another reviewer mentioned that Amsterdam Manor owns this hotel and when he was there the little pool was being worked on so they allowed him to use the Amsterdam Manor Pool. Not sure if this is the norm.

yes indeed the pool is tiny..probably 3x the size of a hot tub...but as you say, who needs it when you have beautiful eagle beach!!!

having a coffee maker not in the room wouldnt be a deal breaker since coffee can be had right there on property from Tulip!!

i hope that you will take lots of photos.
