Brenda, Don't wait for people to contact you. Start e-mailing every resort small and large now. Unless things have changed, that's a difficult night to get a reservation for unless you book way in advance. And we found some of the smaller resorts want at least a 3 night minimum at the time period covering NY's Eve. We were successful this year at getting a few extra nights to be there for New Years Eve but booked it back in January while on the island. Good Luck.
