Has anyone stayed at the Occidental recently? My husband and I will be staying there for our 5 year anniversary. Any advice appreciated.

I hear the Occidental will be closing down in May and reopening on Dec 15th of 2004. I hope your stay is before this time.

The place is great, I visit it often and I always have a great time. Is there something specific you want to know about?

We were just at the Occidental & had a very nice stay. The rooms are in need of some updating, but they are VERY CLEAN!!, as is the whole resort. We had good food & excellent service. We would stay there again on a return trip....(hopefully!!).

I have a honeymoon planned for May 3-10th at the Occidental. Is it really going to be shut down? Any info you can give me would be very helpful. Thanks
