Hi, We just returned from a week at the Occidental. We are timeshare owners - week 7. They were working on the resort everyday, starting at 7 am, everyday except on Sunday. None of the restaurants are finished. They were painting the lobby and putting in furniture. The way it looks they still have a few more months of work. The only people staying at the resort were the timeshare owners. The hotel rooms were nowhere near completion.We had a great time. The weather was wonderful and the beach and pool were open. We had almost the whole resort to ourselves. Joan

Thanks for the update Joan. I am going (owner) in May and can't wait. As long as I have a bed to sleep in and a beach to lounge on, my vacation will be perfect!

Ally, we stayed in a two bedroom unit with a full kitchen. We own a three bedroom unit though and when we arrived it wasn't ready for us, so we stayed in the two bedroom unit this time. Joan
