Mainly Marriot Palm Beach vs Sonesta Beach?

At the Marriott you are on the beach and at the Sonesta (Renissance) Hotel you have to take a boat to their private beach. Which would you prefer? Both hotels are lovely.

At Sonesta, you get to go to their private island. That makes it worth picking Sonesta.
