Planning a honeymoon

We are planning our honeymoon for November and are looking into Aruba. We've looked at several hotels online and are looking for opinions on the following hotels: La Cabana, Marriott Stellaris, Holiday Inn Sunspree and Mill Resort & Suites. Does anyone have any suggestions? We are open to other hotels, preferrably all-inclusive. Thank you.

Re: Planning a honeymoon

LaCabana is a HUGE timeshare resort across the street from the beach..The Mill is also a timeshare resort across from the beach but on a smaller scale..Holiday Inn is just that a Holiday Inn but on the beach..Marriott is one of the best places to stay in Aruba on the beach..Look into the Hyatt and the Raddisson which are also on the beach.

Marriott

Out of those Marriott would be top. Next for AI would be the Divi which is not even on your list. A great small non AI not on your list would be Bucuti.

Re: Marriott

When we've checked out the Marriott it doesn't come up as an All Inclusive, but a European Plan (no meals, breakfast only in some cases). Is there somewhere online to price the Marriott as an All Inclusive, food & drinks included?
Thanks.

Re: Planning a honeymoon

The Marriott does have an all-inclusive program but I think it may just run seasonally. There are only 2 totally all-inclusive hotels Tam and their sister resort Divi (both located in the low-rise section)but several hotels have the all-inclusve option; meal plans; and drink plans.

Contact Travel Unlimited (you can see just a sampling of some packages at http://www.travelunlimited.com)as this agency specializes in Aruba and can make good recommendations as they visit often and have great rates with service to match.

Re: Marriott

The Marriott is the class of this field but
also check out the Wyndham;my son and his new wife went with an all inclusive last August and had a great honeymoon. They liked the Hotel and the all inclusive also allowed them to eat off premises a couple of nights. They also met several other honeymoon couples and felt very much at home. This BB also reports a lot of favorable comments from honeymooners about the Wyndham.Worth checking out !

Re: Planning a honeymoon

LaCabana - Large resort - mostly families with children.

Marriott - Large resort - at end of Palm Beach.

Holiday Inn - I would NOT recommend - especially for a honeymoon.

The Mill Resort - Small resort - not directly on the beach (across the main road from the Wyndham).

Out of all of the above, I would recommend the Marriott for a honeymoon.

Re: Marriott

Thanks to all for responding!

Tom - I heard the Wyndham has very heavy winds, did your son experience this? I read a bunch of reviews on www.tripadvisor.com and Wyndham came back w/ the wind & bug factor.

Bucuti had all rave reviews though!

Thanks again! This is much appreciated!

Re: Marriott

Keri:
I am surprised, not heard that before. It does sit at the end of Palm Beach and might catch an extra breeze or twop but frankly, there will be times you hope for a stiff breeze and some cloud cover;the sun is hot and the breeze cooling.I would discount"Buggy";I've been going for 15 years(Playa Linda)and never had a bug problem anywhere.Read on there are plenty of favorable reviews, but whatever have a great honeymoon and life together !
