Has anyone stayed at the Radissons in a "standard" room? Is there a view at all? Or should I atleast upgrade to a "garden" room?

My boyfriend and I will be there from October 24th thru November 2nd.

I had this same question when I stayed at the Radission when my wife and I went in Feb. I think, and I could be wrong, that the garden room what on the first floor of the building that we were in and the the standard room was on the second floor. Second floor has a little better view of the grounds with a balcony instead of a patio.

We were at the Radisson from 7/6 to 7/13 in a partial ocean view. I don't think I went out on the balcony more than a couple of times. It was nice, but not necessary.If the money difference is significant for you go with the standard room.

In 21 trips to Aruba, I still say save your money on the upgrades and treat yourself to Dinner at LeDome or one of the other better restaurants.

I agree. Get the basic room and spend your money on the wonderful cuisine available all over the island.

I don't think it matters...we booked a garden and got upgraded to a partial ocean view..but overall the ocean view..are not ocean front...b/c the hotel is set back from the beach...also, avoid staying in the low-rise buildings..ours reaked of mold, it was nasty. maybe the more deluxe rooms are in the high rise....
