Re: Renaissance Aruba Resort

Mark,
just stayed there 2/28 thru 3/5. we were in room 2225 which is pool view, if you truly want ocean view you need room 2249 or higher. they are at the end of the hotel on the right. or you can stay on floors 4 or 5 over looking the pools and you will be able to see the ocean over the palm trees. It is very nice, the suites have a king size bed, a little hard, full bath, kitchenette and living room with pull out sofa. maid service 2 times a day with turn down service at night with chocolates. if you want more info you can email me at caliano20@comcast.net.
we had a great time. you can even visit tesse the tiger right in front of the hotel. be sure to tell the driver you are staying at the suites otherwise they will take you to the regular hotel part.

Re: Renaissance Aruba Resort

Do you think that if I requested a 4th floore room I would have a great ocean view no matter what room number they put us in ?

We really want a great view of the ocean. Don't care much to see the pool unless we are high up and can see over/past the pool and palm trees to see the ocean.

Nothing sounds better then ordering up room service for breackfast and having it out on the balconey with a great ocean view !!!!!

Thanks

I am an owner at Renaissance. I would recommend second thru 5th floors. Room numbers --46, --47,--48, or --49. These are the premier ocean view rooms at the end facing the ocean. If you are lucky enough to get --46, you will have an ocean view and pool view, too.

Re: Renaissance Aruba Resort

We are going in June. Could you tell me what the Garden View is, and is it worth the $40 a night to upgrade to ocean view.
Thanks

Re: Renaissance Aruba Resort

garden view is looking at the parking lot or the garden (if you want to call it that). you will be facing the street behind the hotel. Not a great view. I would suggest as above that you ask for the rooms he suggested 46-49 are the best rooms. there are 5 floors to the hotel. the odd numbers such as mine 2225 were pool view with a partial view of the ocean. the even number rooms face the parking lot except for the end rooms as noted above. Room service is a bit expensive. One pot of coffee and toast will run you about $10.95. No need to buy coffee as you get a coffee maker in the room with coffee included. They will refill each day. Dunkin donuts is within 2 mins walking distance at the seaport mall. There is free coffee only in the lobby, no snacks, bagels etc. The breakfast buffet is $14.95. Mark if you want any other info you can email me at my address in the above message. Have a great time. Dont forgot to take the water taxi to the private island. Your son will have a blast. Paddle boats, swimming, swings, and hammocks for the lazy people.

Re: Renaissance Aruba Resort

I have timeshare at the Renaissance Beach Tower and I have been going for the past 6 years. I never had room service twice a day or did I ever get a turned down bed with chocolate on my pillow. How do you get this?

Perhaps this extra service is for non-time share visitors !

Re: Renaissance Aruba Resort

Are you staying at the hotel or at the Beach Tower (formerly Sonesta Suites)? Some of the earlier replies are for the hotels, some for the Beach Tower. The Beach Tower has one bedroomn suites and those ending in 46 or higher are at the end of each wing, facing the ocean.

Re: Renaissance Aruba Resort

WE own in the beach tower overlooking the pool, beach, and ocean. We especially overlook the beach area. Great view right on the end of the wing 3rd floor.
