Rental cars

Hi,
I'm headign to aruba for 2 weeks (one at divi tam and another at the wyndham). We wanted to explore durign our second week and rent a car. Can you do this from the hotels or only at the airport? has anyone rented a car for less than $200? any info would be great-- also which ones to stay away from.

Re: Rental cars

Most of the resorts have car rental offices on their grounds and the price would depend on the car you want - automatic, airco, etc. There is a rental place at the Divi but I can't remember who it is, sorry. You do not have to rent a car at the airport.

Re: Rental cars

Renting a car at the airport saves you the roundtrip cab fare,on average about $40 . All the rental companies have airport locations and they are all located right across the street from the Terminal. It is very easy and convenient ! Enjoy !

Re: Rental cars

You can reserve fron either hotel or airport, or you can reserve one now. Transportation shouldn't be a problem because most will either pick you up at your hotel or bring the car to your hotel. E-mail them to get the best deal and mention that you need transportation.

Re: Rental cars

Renting a vehicle is very easy at the airport. I didn't do it the first time because we didn't know our way around the island. Reserve ahead. If you want to explore
some of the out of the way beaches, you will need a 4 wheel. Touring and exploring can get
pretty hot and dusty in an open vehicle without air
