Re: Which resort?

Do NOT stay at the Wyndham...I stayed there last year and the place was full of mildew!! I complained to the front desk as I checked out (luckily I was only there for 1 night while I waited for my time share ) and they stated they were aware of this problem ...why would they continue to put guests in these rooms??? I wrote to corporate as soon as I retured home and have 1 free night at the hotel...yours if you want it....god knows ...I will NEVER use it...Go for the Radisson...it is beautiul!!!

Cheapest

Alright,

I am a grad-student, travelling for the summer, and heading through Aruba with my girlfriend for about 4 days. What's the cheapest, most downright cheapest, on the beach, romantic, good area place to stay. This is a challenge, por favor.

Thanks,
Dave

Re: Which resort?

Hyatt is supreme. Wyndham does have the wind issue. Radisson is very nice as well as a little more of a casual atmosphere, better live bands, etc. Multi-year visitor and I spend my $ at the Hyatt.

Re: Which resort?

I just returned in may from the DIVI and Tam

I think there beach is second to none. The food was great at both and the staff was unbelieveable they cater to your every want and need. The Divi and Tam all the way.

Ps. They have been voted best All Inclusive
in the Carribean for 2005 (and for good reason)

Have a great time

Re: Which resort?

I just returned from my vacation in Aruba. Stayed at the Wyndham for the first time. Past 4 years I stayed at the Allegro Occidental (which I couldn't say a bad thing about). Unfortunately, they are in the middle of renovating, so I chose Wyndham. Big mistake. I found the staff to be something other than friendly. Their breakfast buffet is quite boring. They wouldn't even allow my daughter Pepsi with her breakfast, because it wasn't included in the "all inclusive". C'mon, get real. She is on vacation. Being a beach lover, I had to sit by the pool. The sand was blowing quite hard on the beach. I had heard that prior to booking the reservation, but I didn't believe it could be so bad. It was.
Choose another hotel.

Re: Which resort?

Not the Wyndham. Nice hotel but way too windy. Stayed there in April and couldn't stay on the beach or in the water because the wind blew the sand in your face. Pool area was VERY crowded and windy. They had two people stationed on one side of the pool with a scoop to pick up everything that blew in. You couldn't put a drink down because it would blow over. Chairs flew along the beach.

It's too bad because we had a great time and the food was good. We did not do all-inclusive, but bought the dine-around and it was really worth the money. We picked the best restaurants on the list before we left and enjoyed it. It is well worth the money no matter where you stay.
