Which resorts make you pay to use palapas?

That is if you are a guest of that resort.
I have heard the Marriott does, what about
the Hyatt,Rad, or Wyndham?

I have stayed at the Hyatt 3 times and the Raddisson 3 times and never paid for a hut. I never heard of any hotel doing that

Re: Which resorts make you pay to use palapas?

We were in Aruba Jan 7th to the 14th and were some of the first guests who go socked with the $50.00 or $25.00 fee that they were charging for huts. We did split the fee with 2 other couples but it sure put a damper on things. One thing we did was not tip as much as we normaly do. We have stayed at this hotel for the last 10 years. We also vouced our concerns to the management before we left the island as well as when we came home. I understand from a friend who is comming back today, that the price has dropped to $15.00 and $10.00, but they are now charging at the Ocean Club Time Shares as well. Not good for public relations...

Leave it to the thieves at the high rise Marriott. Does "Tricky Dicky" Nixon's brother still have his hand in the Marriott operations? He used to be on the board of directors.

The Marriott is the only hotel that charges and it looks like it may be only during high season. It's a matter of supply and demand. If people are willing to pay then they will continue to charge.
