Hi All:
Recently booked this timeshare and have read some negative comments.
Stayed at the hotels, low and highrise timeshares but never this one.
How does this compare to the rest of em'? Read that the rooms are pretty beat up. Anyone stay there recently? Is it better than the old rooms at the Holiday Inn @ lease?!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I'd check on the beach conditions at the Riu,
we just got back from the holiday inn, wasn't bad. We had 45 people no one complained about the rooms, but then we really didn't spend alot of time in the rooms

Yes the RIU timeshare units are in need of some updating. I don't know where else you've stayed but they are not the best choice. if you have any questions email me at macalh@aol.com

Forgot to update the board on my stay and answer my own questions. For those of you that have a chance to stay here, I would highly recommend it!
I was worried about the rooms but the rooms were fine and we were right on the boardwalk...unbelievable. The best part was paying extra to take part in the AI program at the Riu. Probably the best week we every had down there and I was with my in-laws!!!
