Room at the Tamarijn

I have read suggestions for a few different block of rooms to request at the Tam. I want to be on a great beach, but not too too far from the bar and restaurant. From what I hear, 1800-1900 are good. What part is newer? What rooms are nicer? --Like I said, I don't mind a little walk to the pool/bar/restaurant. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Rhian,
Some blocks of rooms are undergoing renovations, but not 1800 and 1900 blocks at this time. They are really nice though. Any rooms under 1800 have a seawall of rocks...1800 and higher...you walk right from your room to the beach. A bit of a walk to the pool and restaurants, but so nice...especially at night. We stayed in 1915 and couldn't have been more pleased. Email them and request the block you want.

I emailed the Tam after reading alot of posts and we went for bldg.21-we are in our 40's and we love to walk so that sounded like a good place to stay. They emailed me back and they are honoring my request, they got back to me real quick too! 0 When are you going?

Do you know of a website where I could see the layout of the rooms at the Tamarijn?

I suggest you look into La Cabana where you can get a 2-bedroom with plenty more room. Plus La Cabana has an excellent children's program. This is very much a family resort. Other option would be to rent someone's 2-bedroom timeshare.

LaCabana is not on the beach, and is too big of a resort, the Tam is perfect, we were there summer 01 with our 2 children 15&18 and had a wonderful time, Cant wait to go back
