RE: Sept 2002 Honeymoon Wyndham
No need to hurry down to the beach for a beach hut... There are plenty of huts.. chairs, etc.... We (My husband and I also stayed there for our honeymoon)We stayed in an Oceanfront Suite. Number 1202. We watched the sun set every night we were there... It has 2 balconies... a huge bathroom.... a living area... It was so nice... and the hotel and staff at the hotel were outstanding.
Some tips that you can take with you... eat at the new restaurant "Blossoms". <- Outstanding!!! Try Pago, Pago.. very intimate and romantic... once again the staff is just unreal.... See the Cabaret show, it was lots of fun!!!
Rent a car! If you aren't into paying at least 35.00 everytime you eat.. You can drive to Mcdonalds, Taco Bell, Wendy's... and eat very reasonably. You can see the entire Island in less than a day. There are tons of secluded - beautiful beaches with huts, etc. Driving in Aruba is very similar to driving in the states. It's very safe and the cost of renting a car is very reasonable. I would also suggest to try out Pelican Water sports... We went on the snorkle trip that left at 2.00 pm - for 2.5 hours. I had to drag my husband because he wasn't too interested but he ended up loving it!!
Let me know if I can help you with anything else. Also, we have stayed on both sides of the hotel. No matter which side you stay on - odd or even numbers you will enjoy the view.... If you don't get the chance to upgrade to an oceanfront room... I would prefer to stay in the odd number rooms - because you can see all of Palm Beach - all the way down to the California Lighhouse....
