Tam. Mega All Inclusive

My wife and I are Going To the Tam Jan.25 2003 We are not sure If we should pay the extra $100. each for the delux room and the use of the Second resort/ We have never been there before and would like to get some suggestions. By the way what is the difference between a standard room and a delux room?

RE: Tam. Mega All Inclusive

I think it's definitely worth the extra money to have access to the other resort's amenities - more bars, more restaurants, more people to meet. Not sure what the difference is between rooms, but for as little time as we spent in the room, I wouldn't recommend spending the extra money on that alone. My husband and I stayed at the Divi Mega All Inclusive and had the time of our lives there. You just can't beat the endless drinks and food all right there when you want it. Of course we went off the resort to eat a few times, but we had our share of meals that we didn't have to leave the resort for because of the all inclusive package. I would do it all over again - and plan to.

Good luck!

RE: Tam. Mega All Inclusive

My husband and I stayed at the Tam for our honeymoon Sept 15-22 '02. Definitely do the delux room. The room part of delux room is misleading. From what we were told and what we saw, there is no difference in the room. All the rooms at the Tam are the same. It is just the fact that you get to use the facilities at the Divi. It is nice to eat at the Divi because their buffet and their restaurant have ocean views. The buffet at the tam does not. One of the restaurants at the Tam was under construction when we went, so they split their other restaurant into 2 sections. They were both inside (although the one looks like it might have water views when it is finished).

It is also nice to be able to get a drink at the Divi (and snacks) if you are walking that part of the beach or happen to be there for their evening entertainment.

Just so you know every single room at the Tam is exactly the same. So when you book a deluxe oceanfront really the room is no different but you will get the exchange privledges at the Divi. I would recommend doing the exchange privledges.
