How strict are they regarding maximum 4 people per room? We have three young children (all under 10) and want to avoid having to pay for 2 rooms. Has anyone gone through this recently?????

They are pretty strict about this, especially since they just changed the room layout.

Pete,

Do they offer ajoining rooms since it looks like we have to get 2 rooms? Which rooms should we request for a great view and steps away from the beach? Thanks for your help.

Get in touch with the hotel so you know exactly what you have to do before you arrive.

Have you been there before? When do you plan on going? We are going to go for our first time soon! 0

Tanya,
Request rooms in the 1900 block, there is a nice beach about 25' from your sliding glass doors (if you are on the 1st floor). It's a great location, not too far from the central part of the resort where the pool and restaurant are located and not far from the bar on the beach (I believe that they called it the "Bunker Bar") just up the beach. I'm not sure if they have adjoining rooms or not. We went with our 3 boys (19,17 & 12)a couple of years ago and they were next door but there was no access from one room to the other. Since your children are so young you would think that they would allow a roll-away bed. Good Luck.

Dianne,
No, this will be our first time to Aruba. We are going the last week of April. When are you going and are you bringing any children along?

Scott,
I called up the hotel and they basically told me that they have to abide by the government fire code which only allows maximum of 4 guests per room. I just don't like the idea of breaking up our family at night and the children are certainly not old enough to be alone in one room, especially if there are no adjoining doors.

Check out La Cabana where you can get a 2 bedroom unit.

I would definitely get the second room. While I love the Tam and am going back, the rooms are small and I couldn't imagine more than four people in there.

We are not taking our 4 boys who are in their 20's now. When we took them to Disneyworld, I had one room with 2 and my husband had a room with the other 2. They took turns as to who was stying in moms or dads room. It was fun and me and my husband still managed to have night time fun! This is our first trip to Aruba and we are going in 3 weeks!!!!!! 0 Dianne from Michigan
