Tamarijn

We have just returned from a fabulous week at the Tam. For those who have never been there and are considering a holiday, don't hesitate to book. When you arrive, do not let the lobby discourage you. It is basic and it is well used - beyond, there is a fabulous time awaiting. The resort is FRIENDLY, VERY CLEAN and the food is EXCELLENT. The rooms are basic, but very clean and functional. (You aren't in them much anyway). The two restaurants are exceptional - the Palm Court and the Paparazzi have escargot to die for and the service is exceptional. There is no need to go to the Divi unless you want to eat at the Red Parrot (almost as good as the Palm and Paparazzi). The reconstruction is of no consequence to your holiday. As for the beach, it tends to have a great deal of coral and looks to have a few too many rocks along the shoreline, but you can find your way to the water with little effort and it is a 'warm' experience. The floats are a great extra - just try not to fall asleep on them or you will find yourself in Venezuela!!!!!
If you are looking for a tour, try Lisette at Excited Tours. She is a local who delivers a great tour! Tell her the Golden Girls from Canada recommended her!
Have a great time - the people are wonderful, the days are hot and the resort deserves a 5-star rating for its staff!

We were there from the 3rd to te 10th and stayed in 2111. Had a great time! Maybe we passed each other going to the bar or the ocean?

I bet we did - we were in the 1800's. We went both places frequently!

Judy
Can you tell me a little about the construction at the Tam please? We are leaving in 3 weeks and are getting a little nervous as everyone seems to be talking about construction but no one can tell us exactly where and what the construction is!
Thanks so much!

Re: Tamarijn

My husband and I are going to the Tam in Feb and would like any recommendations you may have for location of room, for best beach access.

Also did yall do any tours or rent a four-wheel drive?

Any other recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks

Ed & Vikki
