Tamarijn revovations

Received a few pics in email showing new dining area. Just wondering if anyone has experianced it first hand. Went 2 years ago and loved it. Going back 2004. Any updates appreciated.

We were there in sept. The dining area was great. The whole resort is wonderful and I am sure you will have a blast. We stayed in room 2111 and the beach was the best at that location.

Re: Tamarijn revovations

Was there at Divi/Tam in July. New dining area is great. The Palm court also offers you the chance to cook your own food to the way you like it. All the buildings renovated and the beach by the 1900 to 2500 blocks is still nice, but the beach area in cove by block 1100 and watersports shop is under water and all rocks. I have some pix of new Tam dining area at my website scattered on pages 22-25 at www.geocities.com/THEFEEL2002

Re: Tamarijn revovations

We just got back from the Divi but our friends were staying at the Tamirijn the same week. I've never been to either so I'm not sure what it looked like before the renovations. Personally, I didn't think the Tamirijn offered as much of an island atmosphere at the Divi. Coconuts bar is all stainless steel with bright colors.

The night we ate at the Palm Court we weren't able to get reservations until 8:30 and the service was very poor. We didn't get our meals until 9:45 and they were having karaoke that night... Not pleasant dinner music and so loud! Speaking of reservations, my only recommendation is to make your reservations early! We weren't even able to get reservations at either the Divi or Tamarijn one night!

All in all, they're both nice places and I'm sure you will be pleased.
