Tamarijn VS Occidental

Stayed at the Tam last year and enjoyed it very much. Especially liked rooms all just a few steps from the beach. Bars and restaurants were good-average. Rooms were really nothing special. Beach had way too many rocks on shore and out in water. My question is for anyone who has stayed at both the Tam and Occidental. We are planning another trip for the end of May but we can't decide if we should do the Tam again or the Occidental. The Occidental costs more but we were wondering if in your opinion it is worth it. What are some of the better features of the Occidental. Are drinks, restaurants, rooms, beach etc better or worse? Thanks

Re: Have you priced the Divi

I can get the Divi beach front for 135 a night per person and ocean front from 179 a night and the Tam for 99 per person. In your opinion is it worth the extra 36 bucks for beach view? I don't think those prices include the deluxe surcharge.

Re: Have you priced the Divi

I would go for the beachside casita for an additional $36 a night pp. A bit better room, better grounds and beach etc. at the Divi aruba. If you stay at the Divi Aruba it automatically includes the use of all the Tamarijn facuilities.
