Thought Aruba was friendly??

I've e-mailed the Divi Village and also the Mill Resort for information over a week ago. Neither of them have answered. I thought Aruba was supposed to be friendly. This sounds more like RUDE to me. Hey Divi and Mill, if this is putting your best foot forward, I'd hate to see how you treat people after you got their money!!! Don't bother answering now. Going to Cancun instead.

Re: Thought Aruba was friendly??

Jerry' kid,
I have e-mailed for information, and gotten a quick responce. You might be interested to know that the reservations are handled here in the US. The e-mails may come here too. We have reservations for January, and everything has gone great so far. I do not think that Cancun is going to be a good choice for the next couple of months, with the hurricane that they just went thru. Maybe you should reconsider your plans, and try reaching someone by phone. I believe there are 800 numbers for both resorts.

Re: Thought Aruba was friendly??

I am sorry I did not look on the message board of aruba.com to make a reply to any questions you wanted answered. I am very sorry this lack of response made you decide to go to Cancun. As you mention, Aruba is one happy island and in no way did we want to be rude and make no reply. Aruba prides itself on being friendly and it will always be that way.

Please accept my apologies for not answering your email. I would always welcome you to email me directly with any question you may have.

Now is too late to say come on down and visit this year, but I sincerely hope this experience will not deter you, next year, from visiting the One Happy Island of Aruba.

Best regards from the MIll Resort

Re: Thought Aruba was friendly??

You may not have noticed, but the customer service phone number is in Rockland Maine, not in Aruba. Perhaps, it is not the Aruban people after all. I have reservations for January, and called with questions as well as e-mailed. Got great responses to both. The phone number is 800-554-2008. It might be worth your time to make the call. The beach at the Divi is the best on the island. Why deprive yourself of that for a missed e-mail. Chill out! Cancun does not look like a good choice at least for the next couple of months while they get back on their feet from the hurricane.
