    I'm glad we're being warned about this situation. As long term Marriott vacationers, I can't imagine how upset my husband and I would be to find ourselves in the middle of this chaos. I've read about this on other forums and Trip Adviser, and there's no way in the world I'd book the Marriott in late January.

    You know, I'm very friendly with the person who sold us the timeshare, and from what I've been told, they completely trash the rooms, leave disgusting messes all over, and then just leave the resort that way. I don't understand; don't these people have any integrity or take pride in themselves and the place that they own? Do they treat their own homes that way? If that's the case, they are just slobs who don't care about anything. When I leave my room, Housekeeping finds it exactly as it was before we got there. I am proud to say my children are the same way. So sad, and then maintenance fees go up and we all pay for that.

    Funny when there last Jan. I heard a story from someone that was at the Marriott and waiting in a line for an ice cream..... This young boy walked up and went to the very front of the line.....cutting off an elderly couple......A couple back a few asked him to go to the back of the line as all the others had done...His response was "My parents pay big $$$$$$ and I can do what ever I want" My parents raised us that all faiths, and any nationality were to be treated equally...BUT, bad behavior and dis-respect for others is unacceptable.... And Rekenna..I too leave my suite immaculate when we leave and my children and grandchildren were raised to respect anyone of any age.... But I guess it does boil down to $$$$ Of course a petition could be brought forth by the remaining owners for unacceptable behavior, disruption, and unsupervised children....hmmmmm but them sometimes the parents are just as obnoxious....

    contact the Marriott Surf Club

    My husband and I have experienced this situation first hand and will never go back to the Surf Club the 3rd week in January. Which is a shame, because that used to be our favorite time to go to Aruba. ( we used to stay at the Hyatt prior to owning Surf Club timeshares) I have contacted the Marriott to express concerns over the disgusting, inconsiderate behavior and property destruction that goes on during the week they are there. I urge all Surf Club timeshare owners to let the Marriott know that we are not happy with this group's behavior, as it will ultimately result in higher maintenance fees for us. I agree that this has nothing to do with race or religion- rudeness is unacceptable no matter who you are.

    Make it easy on yourselves ...do an on-line petition....I am not quite sure of the workings of this but I have heard there are free on-line petitions and each could sign, and as they say there is strength in numbers... Maybe Andrea, Arubalisa or Liz from NJ know how you find these and how they work.... Marl

    It's incredible that the Marriott puts up with that!!! WHY would someone condone that kind of behavior?!?!?!

    Here's a link to the Petition Spot. I've signed many petitions started there but have not started one myself.
