First time going to Aruba. We are planning on staying at La Cabana and was wondering what's nearby. Restaurants, entertainment, shopping, other hotels, etc.? Any info would be appreciated. I am find it hard to find out online. Thanks.

A wonderful restaurant called Chalet Suisse. It is an absolute must. Their Rack of Lamb is fantastic.

there isnt much near by, you have to walk quite a distance. you can always take the bus for $1 each way either down town or to the high rise hotel area. La cabana is nice, but your only view is of cactus plants.. may want to find another place to stay...aruba renaissance is great in the suites or the high rise hotels. holiday inn, marriot, radisson, wyndham etc.

The views are NOT of cactus! It depends where your room is. Most of the units in are ocean front. It is a great resort. We own 2 weeks in December. Have fun :-)
