Where do I stay?

Alright I am having a tough time deciding. I have never been to Aruba and do not know where to stay. Here are some choices. Hopefully some of you can give me some feedback so I can narrow it down.

Aruba Beach Club
Casa del Mar Beach Resort
The Playa Linda Beach Resort
Royal Palm Club at the Aruba Grand

Crane Beach Resort
Bougainvillea Beach Resort

RE: Where do I stay?

If you can give an idea of what you prefer in the way of a resort and location folks might be better able to help you narrow it down. Do you like a big resort or a smaller one? Do you want to be on the hi-rise strip where most of the water sports originate and you can walk to all the other hi-rises or do you want more peace and quiet?
Never heard of Crane Beach Resort. Villa Bougainvillea I believe is part of a private residence and would be the most quiet and secluded of all, you'd definitely want a car for that one.

RE: Where do I stay?

I stayed at Casa Del Mar last year and it was absolutely wonderful..They have a restaurant there at the resort which sits under right on the beach in the outdoors under a cabana where you can sit and eat breakfast in the morning or return later on at night for a romantic candle light dinner right on the sand. There are 3 pools and plenty of huts on the beach. I particularly enjoyed it because there was practically no one on the beach where as if you stay at one of the hotels the beaches there tend to be much more crowded...Aruba only gets about an inch of rain per year so the weather is absolutely perfect all the time...If you do go, try to go to the Flying Fishbone for dinner...you eat at candle-lit tables right on the sand with the ocean lapping at your feet and the food is phenomenal. Hope you have fun.

RE: Where do I stay?

We've been to Aruba five times and are returning in September for our sixth.

My suggestion would be to stay in the high rise area. The beaches are beautiful and you're within walking distance to many, many restaurants.

We've stayed at the Allegro on the European Plan (not all-inclusive) because we enjoy so many of the restaurants. For the money the Allegro is a good deal. It's in the midst of all the high rises, but is lower in price. We've found it to be fine.
