Where should I stay?

Iam planning our honeymoon and Im not sure where to stay. Has anyone stayed at the Allegro Resort? I also have an option to use a timeshare at Playa Linda or Costa Linda. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi Jane - if you have the opportunity to stay at Playa Linda or Costa Linda, go for either one of them. They are timeshare apartments not hotel rooms and they are both beautiful.

Jane, just got back from aruba yesterday. Ill tell you one thing, there was a lot of fighting amoung the islanders that were trying to drum up business for water sports. This happened infront of the Allergo...so choose else where on the island.

RE: Where should I stay?

Jane - I would choose either Playa Linda or Costa Linda for a honeymoon. The quiet atmosphere would be a lot better at one of those places for a romantic honeymoon. The Allegro has a loud young crowd who drink all day and all night. The rooms also are in need or renovating. It is also an all-inclusive and most of their meals are buffets.

The Allegro is NOT totally all-inclusive like Divi, Tam or Bushiri. You have the option of the all-inclusive plan or we got a package from Travel Unlimited that just came with a full buffet breakfast every day.

Jane - The Allegro is a dive. Friends stayed there only to have the employees' break into the ROOM SAFE and steal. Not to mention the place sucks. Can't wait for these to leave that beautiful island. If you still have the opportunity, change hotels immediately. Also avoid the "TAM".

RE: Where should I stay?

Hubby and I stayed at the Tierra del Sol - we are avid golfers and this was our choice over staying on the beach. The villa rentals are beautiful - private pool too.
If I were to stay on the beach, my choice would be Marriott, but that is just me.
Wherever you stay, you will love Aruba - best place I have ever been to.
Good luck and congrats on the wedding.
