Where to stay?

We're going to Aruba for the first time in May and looking at Allegro, Divi, Tamarijin. What's the best option for quality and price?

Laura - in one word, "Wyndham".

RE: Where to stay?

Did you read any of the posts on the Allegro, Divi and Tamarijn? Do you want to be surrounded by a bunch of ill-mannered and rude drunks on your vacation? If so, then by all means, stay at one of those all-inclusive places.

RE: Where to stay?

Looking for a 6 star hotal to stay in. How does Aruba compare to Cancun. We go to cancun and the outerbanks (N.C). We would like to go somewhere new this year but it needs to be nice. We enjoy the beach, good food, and some nightlife.

RE: Where to stay?

John - No, it was not spring break. Most of the all-inclusive resorts seem to cater to the younger crowd (early to mid-twenties). The rude drunks are at the all-inclusives (all-you-can-drink) all year long. They can't get their monies worth on the quality of food so they make up for it on the all-you-can-drink. It's as simple as that.

John - You will find the following post under "Nightlife". Does this answer your question. They will be there the same week as you, along with many others like them. Good luck.

DIVI is where it is at March 31 - April 7, 2002 Senior Spring Break. Me and my friends are from Rochester and we're looking for some girls to club it up with. The party is at Eagle so if your from Oxford or GP holla at us March 31st, you know where its at Drunken Divi Style. Michigan.

RE: Where to stay?

John - If I were you and traveling with my kids, I would see if I could change where I am staying to a place that is more suitable for children. I would not want my children to be exposed to a bunch of foul-mouthed and rowdy drunks at any time, especially while on vacation. There are many other hotels with a nicer environment, such as the Wyndham, Radisson or Marriott. Depending on the age of your children, LaCabana may even be the answer because it is a very family-oriented resort.
