Where to stay, what to do

I'm looking of for a little advise on where to stay and the night life. This is going to sound strange...but I'm hoping to plan our last vacation before our divorce. Kind of a celebration of our 24 years together. We are a young 44..both love the beach and dancing in the evenings.

I've been looking at the Wyndham Aruba Resort, Spa & Casino, Deluxe-All Inclusive package. Is this a good deal?

Thanks,
Bill

Re: Where to stay, what to do

For what you'll spend doing the all inclusive, I'd recommend just eating out on the island. Food is incredible. But if you're set on AI, the Wyndham is nice. Good location. They have a fun dinner/dance show in their theatre (not part of the AI package).

Casinos are fun, all different sizes depending on what hotel you are at. Lots of day tours for exploring the island, snorkeling, scuba etc. Take one of the party buses at night. Visit DePalm island one day, lots of fun. Food and drinks are included, and they have live music, snorkeling, or just laying out in the sun.

Go to www.megaresorts.com and www.geocities.com/THEFEEL2002 for a better deal at the Divi Aruba mega all inclusive. and www.depalmonline.com and www.wixtours.com for land/sea tour info.

Re: Where to stay, what to do

I'm really not set on the AI or the Wynhdam. Knowing very little about Aruba it appeared to be a safe bet.
I just want to do this right.
The party bus sounds like a great time. Any night club recommendations.

Re: Where to stay, what to do

I would definitely NOT get the all-inclusive. The food is too good everywhere else!!!!!!! I have stayed at the Radisson several times. I love the Radisson. My friends stay at the Wyndham and they like it there. It is more windy on the beach at the Wyndham. The wind and blowing sand is blocked by the pier on the Radisson Beach. I would highly recommed eating at the Sunset Grill at the Radisson hotel. It is important to make reservations when you get there for each night you would like to go to dinner. We book dinner reservations for Sunset Grille and Chalet Suisee at the conceirge the day we get there.

Re: Where to stay, what to do

Bill....go for the Radisson. You will love it. The most lush, tropical resort on a great stretch of beach. I agree with the Wyndham...it's on the end of the hotel "strip", so the wind is just crazy. Think sand storm! Their pool is beautiful though.

Enjoy the food of the island. Skip the all inclusive....dollar-wise you definately won't save anything. I'd recommend the breakfast plan at the Radisson if anything, and then on your own for lunch and dinner.

Re: Where to stay, what to do

The Radisson..party bus..food and drinks on the island...a couple of great sun sets and a little dancing. Creating memories. What a way to end 24 years.

Thank you for the input.
