Re: Wyndham
To get a room near the water you'll need
to ask for a "even" numbered room.
The hotel sits a little sideways facing the water, but that side of the hotel is the one that has the better side view of the water.
The lower numbers rooms on each floor are also on the hotel end that is closest to the water.
So Ideally, you want a low numbered room with an even number. To use as a gauge to how far your room will be down the building, there are only around 37 or 38 rooms on a floor. We were in room 837 and we were on the far end of the odd side away from the water. We could still see the water, but it wasn't anywhere as good as the even side.
The odd numbered rooms have a view of the water, but it's a partial view, and overlooks what people call the "big blue roof", which is the room of the hotels meeting rooms which they painted baby blue for some reason.
From what I can tell otherwise, the rooms on one side are the same as the others, unless you have a suite, etc. The Balconies on the even side did seem a little larger also, but I'm not sure if that wasn't based on how they faced.
hope this helps some.
