Wyndham

I have just booked my honeymoon today at the Wyndham. Any suggestions as to what to ask for and how do I go about room upgrades? Also, any one know of anything that can make my week extra special?

RE: Wyndham

when you check in at the front desk ask if they have a meal plan
my husband and i were there for our one year anniversary in november and we saved a lot of money because we bought vouchers for 5 breakfasts and two dinners
we stayed for 8 nights (we booked 5 nights but we didn't want to leave!) just be careful that they give you the vouchers when you request them and make sure they bill the room because in january we saw on our credit card statements a whole mess of charges that were for stuff we prepaid or put on the room (dec statement) it got very expensive having to call the hotel a few times to dispute the charges
other than that we had a great time and even with the credit card mistakes i can't wait to go back
please make sure that you see the cuban style show - it was great - just hold on to your husband tight so the girls don't take him on stage and dance with him
also - bring insect repellant - aruba has alot of mosquito's (i think it has something to do with the wind)
don't rent a car because it is a waste of money - the taxis are cheap and the bus runs right by the hotel
at the windham all the rooms have a balcony so at least you will have that
we stayed in room 1300 and it had a double balcony - any room ending in 00 has that feature and it is great because you can see the sun rise from one and set from another

RE: Wyndham

Suggestion. I'd join WyndhamByRequest. This offers a number of amenities including a free room upgrade and you can pay a little extra to go even better! Give it a try. Sounds like this is new. I became a member and will see how they do in April. Go to the Wyndham.com website and sign in... I've stayed there last year room 1500. Great view, clean, friendly, services at the pool were very nice - fruit on skewers, COLD washrags to cool one off and sample drink of the day. Nice service.

RE: Wyndham

Lani - Join Wyndham-By-Request several weeks before you leave and be sure to tell them that you are on your honeymoon. The best rooms are the low even-numbered (04-06). They are on the sunset side overlooking the pool (great view). Did you already book or are you in the process of booking? My husband and I stayed there last September and had a wonderful time. You picked a great hotel. Congratulations and have a wonderful honeymoon.
