WYNDHAM

I have decided to stay at the Wyndham in March. We are getting married in Aruba. Can anyone tell me the difference between their "superior" room and their "deluxe" room. It sound like the deluxe rooms are just on higher floors--are they worth the extra $.

Also, I do not want to do an all-inclusive there, but a breakfast and beverage plan is available; has anyone done this?

Is the Wyndham's happy hour every night between 5 & 7, or just on Tuesday evenings.

Re: WYNDHAM

Carol, I was also confused about the rooms. I booked through MCM Tours and they helped me out. We were on the 8th floor and booked a jr ocean front suite. The suites are the 01 and 02 rooms. We were in 802 and it was perfect. It had two seperate rooms with two balconies that overlooked the pool and ocean. It was faboulous. If you are going for your honeymoon I would pay the extra money. We went for out 10 year anniversary and I was so glad we got the room we did. I loved it and the view. We also got the breakfast buffet included which was great. It had everything you could possibly want for breakfast and how convenient to have it right in the hotel. No decisions on where to have breakfast every morning. I would recommend it as it is $17.50pp otherwise. The happy hour I believe is every day from 5-7. Enjoy, you will have a geat time, and how romantic to get married there!

Re: WYNDHAM

Carol - I booked my trip through MCM Tours and it included daily breakfast buffet. Prior to booking with MCM, I called the Wyndham Aruba directly and was told that the room categories are as follows: Standard (5th-8th Floors); Superior (9th-11th Floors) and Deluxe (12th-18th Floors). The rooms facing the ocean on the beach end of the building are suites. 00 (2 balconies in the center of the building) is called a Jr. Oceanfront Suite (1 large room). 02 (corner overlooking pool) and 01 (corner facing Aruba Grand) are each called a 1-bedroom Oceanfront Suite (2 separate rooms). Happy Hour is every day from 5PM-7PM, except Tuesdays. The weekly Manager's Cocktail Party is held on Tuesday evenings from 5PM-7PM. If you join Wyndham-by-Request prior to your trip, sometimes you will get a free room upgrade if they happen to have a better room available at the time you check in. My husband and I booked a standard room and were upgraded to a Deluxe 1-bedroom Oceanfront Suite on the 14th floor. We were celebrating our 25th Anniversary. Congratulations and good luck in whatever you choose.
