Does anyone have any opinions on this resort?? I"m looking to go there for my honeymoon in September and it's the only one available that is all inclusive.

Re: WYNDHAM ARUBA RESORT

never did the all inclusive there, but have stayed there 3 times and loved it. The rooms are large with big balconies and the people who work there are very nice. And you will spend hundreds less for a week there than the Radisson next door. Join Wyndham by Request on line and get many perks.

Re: WYNDHAM ARUBA RESORT

I just want to let you know that I dont want you to stay anywhere else but the Wyndham. I stayed at the Wyndham for the first tme on my honeymoon which was June 2003. When I tell you the food was unbelievable. The staff was sooooooo nice and accomidating. Our honeymoon suite words cannot describe. Room # 1502. THE BEST. We returned for our 1yr anniversary June 2004. We brought another couplw with us and they will be returning this year for there honeymoon. We are going back for our 2yr anniversary this July 2005 and I cannot wait. When I tell you my mouth is already watering for the food. We ate Lobster tail and filet migon every night. It is 5 Star restaurants. If you go there you will see people from other hotels coming to eat there. HANDS ON THE BEST. Oh and the Spa oh my god so beautiful.

Re: WYNDHAM ARUBA RESORT

Not exactly sure what you are saying. The Wyndham is not the only hotel offering all inclusive. All inclusive can be a great way to go, particularly if you are a big drinker. But remember that there are alot of great restaurants in Aruba and not all are priced out of sight. Whatever you decide the Wyndham is a great hotel. I'm sure you will be happy there. Much luck on your upcoming wedding and enjoy that honeymoon.

The Wyndham is a great place. My wife and I have stayed there over 10 times. The employees are the best.

I do not like all inclusive, there are so many great restaurants to choose from, you may want to rethink that one!

Re: WYNDHAM ARUBA RESORT

My wife and I stayed at the Wyndham last year and it is truly a very nice spot. The only downside with it's location is that it can get very gusty in that particular spot of Aruba.
However, the pool, beach, grounds etc is very very nice.
You might do your self a favor regarding the all inclusive. They don't advertise it, but there are various plans of AI. You can get a breakfast and beverage (meaning you get breakfast and all drinks included). That way, you can try some of the local cusine.
We had no complaints with the restaurants at the Wyndham. They were all good.If you are a drinker and you don't have AI...you may go into shock. Beer...even domestics are about $6.00 a pop and they are only 8 ounces. Another suggestion...is get an early reservation at the Wyndham's Italian restaurant. You can wait forever to get in.
Good luck.

Re: WYNDHAM ARUBA RESORT

My wife and I just returned from a week at the Wyndham. I thought the hotel was very nice. The staff was very accomodating. We did the AI. You definately want it for drinks as mentioned above...even the bottled water is $4 each! Dinner at Pago Pago and Azulls is a must. Make your reservations for Azulls the day you arrive (limited seating). Although everyone seems to mention it, we never had any problems with high winds on the beach. I would stay there again. Enjoy.

Re: WYNDHAM ARUBA RESORT

My husband and I just came back on 5/29 from a week in Aruba at the wyndham and I have to say that it was more than I ever expected. Many people on these message boards scared me to death about the rooms, the wind, etc. I have barely any complaints. The most that I can say is there waws one bartender that I could care less for, but out of the other 20 bartenders, I didn't mind. The food at all of the restaurants: Blossoms, Pago Pago, and Cafe Baci were all wonderful. The breakfast in the morning was good at the Greenhouse. I never ate breakfast or lunch really at the Terrace. We did order lunch from the Terrace but ate it at the Tambuu Bar. Everyone was so nice. I could go on and on. All I have to say is not to be intimidated by anyone on these message boards, you have to experience it all for yourself. My husband says all of the same things about the Wyndham and so now I am just trying to convince him that we should go back for every year's anniversary.

Re: WYNDHAM ARUBA RESORT

A very nice place but way too windy. We were there in April and couldn't even stay on the beach because the sand was blowing in our faces even when we were in the water! We found the pool area very crowded for this reason. You couldn't put a drink down because the wind was blowing them over. They stationed two people with a pole to pull everything out of the pool as it blew in!

We also heard about the wind here but thought we wouldn't be scared away, a mistake. A really nice hotel, great food but far too windy for a beach lover.
