Re: wyndham hotel ...any advise?

We have stayed at the Wyndham approximately six times and it is our favorite place to stay. The rooms are fine, the pool and beach are great. The restaurants are all great.

See www.geocities.com/wyndhamaruba12000 for a short movie. right click on it to download. Very nice place. Eat at Blossoms and Pago Pago. not much for entertainment at night unless you pay for it. good sized casino there too. beaches are a little crowded.

Re: wyndham hotel ...any advise?

We stayed at the Wyndham for our honeymoon and absoltely LOVED it. The Wyndham is a beautiful resort with some of the largest rooms and balconies, a great staff, and awesome food...the pool is awesome too and the beach is beautiful.

To me, the Wyndham is the best deal....a great resort at a great price and the best of both worlds...a 4 start resort at a very reasonable price. The Wyndham has an all inclusive plan that you can get, but you don't have to.

The Wyndham has what I consider the BEST and NICEST all inclusive on the island if you chose to do AI..but even if you don't, it is still a wonderful, awesome resort.

We did the All Inclusive and absolutely loved it. The variety and quality of food was amazing! We figured it up and we definately saved money by doing the AI. If you like to drink at all and enjoy lots of great food then I would recommend thinking about the AI plan.

One nice thing about the AI at the Wyndham is that you get a dine around coupon that allows you to go offsite one night to have dinner at a list of restraurants. We went to Texas De Brazil and had an amazing meal there.

We also liked it because it made life easier with not carrying cash or credit cards and it was so nice not to worry about how much we were spending.

Also, the wyndham has great perks. Join their free by request program and you get things like a free room upgrade...we were upgraded for free to a jr. suite...totally AWESOME

The food at the Wyndham was unbelievable....all very top notch resturants. You get a huge variety of very nice dishes that you wouldn't expect to find at an all inclusive.

Also, the staff took very good care of us. Our room was clean and drinks at the bars were awesome.

Wyndham has great activities too including a manager's cocktail party where you get free rum punch, snacks, and a chance to win prizes including a return stay. Also...honeymooners get to go on stage and have fun and introduce themselves to the audience. There is a Carnival night (FREE on the AI plan) with outside BBQ (not hambugers and hotdogs either). Also they do an outdoor dinner on the beach....dance show...and all kinds of great stuff...for kids, honeymooners, or anyone....

I highly recommend the Wyndham for a honeymoon. They won us over and we will not stay anywhere else...we'll glady return to the Wyndham again for our next stay and we will definately do the AI there again.

Re: wyndham hotel ...any advise?

Stayed at the Wyndham May 2002 for my honeymoon and thought it was a great hotel. Definitely recommend upgrading to the suite which faces the ocean directly and has two separate balconies. Very nice. Linda, we did the all-inclusive and unless it has changed, was not worth it. Restaurants are limited, alcohol not included and just to many fine restaurants to visit. One being the japanese restaurant in the Wyndham.

The staff was excellent and the guests were all very friendly.

Re: wyndham hotel ...any advise?

thanks guys!! John I thought the alcohol was included? it says unlimited drinks...but I will be there with my 15 year old daughter so I won't get to drink that much

Darlene, I have a question...
the shows and things listed above that are free does that mean if I do not do all inclusive I can go to them but just have to pay for them right?

Re: wyndham hotel ...any advise?

John, I do have to correct you on one thing. Alcohol is definately included at the AI at the Wyndham..it is unlimited. You also get to eat at just about all the restruants there.....Pago Pago, Cafe Baci, or the Greenhouse for dinner...plus your dine around coupon that you can either go offsite or use to eat at Blossoms...the japanese/chinese place at the Wyndham you referred to. In addition you get Azul as well as the dinner show if you choose.

We thought there was a very large selection of food and a huge variety of choices. We never got tired of the food...actually could have ate at all the restruants a few more times and would have still enjoyed them quite a bit....so many things to try.

The shows are available to all guests. The manager's cocktail party is free for everyone. The others of course you have to pay for if you don't do AI.
