Wyndham problems?

I want to go back the end of the year Nov,I stayed at the Allergo before, our travel agent is trying to sell us on the Wyndham,my in laws go there all the time but there very easy people.I heard they are making time share there and the place was a mess.I signed up for the by request but I heard they don't really do anything for ya,and always stick you on the ally side no matter how many times you return. Please give it to me straight.

Re: Wyndham problems?

I don't know about the construction -- but when we stayed at the Wyndham we had no problems with it at all. They were very nice -- and we had signed up before with Wyndham by Request and were able to get a nicer room that had all of our little snacks & beverages waiting for us.

Frank the bellman was extremely helpful and just the best!

I don't think you'll have a problem, but definitely check on the construction issues!

Re: Wyndham problems?

Just returned from a week in Aruba, stayed at the Wyndham, had a wonderful trip overall. No real issues, the hotel was clean and comfortable, and the service was certainly acceptable. They are going to be building a huge Wyndham Ownerhip Resort next door in the future, but no construction yet. I would guess the current hotel will be in need of some renovation in the next 1-3 years, if they want to stay competitive, the rooms are getting slightly dated. Overall, nothing bad to say about the place. The Wyndham By Request got us bumped from a deluxe room to a junior suite without asking, its free to sign up, certainly cant hurt.

Re: Wyndham problems?

Too windy to stay here. It is the windiest spot on the island. If you love the beach go somewhere else.

We were there in April and couldn't stay on the beach (the reason we went) because the sand blew in your face even in the water!
Chair flew along the beach and they had two people stationed at the pool to pull out all of the belongings that blew in. I must admit it was very funny to watch people try to find their sandles, drinks and cover-ups that blew away.

You couldn't even put a drink down without it blowing over. Pool area was VERY crowded because of this.

Rooms were good, food was great but will not return to the Wyndham.
Good luck.
