Wyndham By Request

I have booked a Wyndham vaction with a travel agent. I got a deluxe room. What is this By Request? How does it work? Is it too late for me to join and how can I benifit by joining if it is not too late?

RE: Wyndham By Request

Check out www.arubawyndham.com, and sign up for By Request online. It's a program which entitles you to perks like free upgrades, and exactly what you want in your minibar when you arrive.

I signed up and got upgraded at the Wyndham Aruba no questions asked, and they had champagne, wine, and fruit for us in our room to celebrate our honeymoon.

There's a lot more to it - check out the site for more info.

RE: Wyndham By Request

Amy,
I got on the wyndham By Request and filled it out. I got back quotes of how how much everything would be. I have already paid for the trip through a travel agent. Do you only get free upgrades if you bought the trip through the Wyndham ?

RE: Wyndham By Request

We did the same thing. Our Travel agent told us to give her our WyndamByRequest number and she would take care of it with the Hotel.

RE: Wyndham By Request

I booked my trip thru Apple, and the upgrade cost me US$20.00/night. I didn't argue b/c that's nothing, but, I did think I could get it free. I think the terms do say that to get the free upgrade, you need to book thru the hotel, but, I don't remember. To be honest, the US$20 wasn't much, and the view was well worth it.
