RE: WYNDHAM ROOMS TO REQUEST

Just got back yesterday from Wyhdham. Rooms were great. Try floors 8 and above. Make sure you apply for Wyndham-by-request. You can find it on there website. Possible upgrades and faster check -in check out service. It doesn't cost anything. Ask aany other questions. Enjoy

RE: WYNDHAM ROOMS TO REQUEST

Most people want the highest floor they can have on the even side (pool side) with the lowest number like 1504, 1506, 1508, ect. 00,01,02 are the oceanfront suites. The higher the last two digits, the farther back you are on the side of the building. I was in 904 and right over the pool. I didn't care about being any higher. You see the sunsets on the pool side but not much else for the view. The odd number side overlooks the other hotels and mountainide which is kind of nice too.

RE: WYNDHAM ROOMS TO REQUEST

Hi,

Did you really enjoy the Wyndham? I am thinking about staying there for my honeymoon. How was your room? Do you think it is worth it to pay more for ocean front jr. suite? How was the view from your room. Thank you so much in advance.

RE: WYNDHAM ROOMS TO REQUEST

Jody,
I have never stayed at the Wyndham before but I booked an ocean front suite for Oct. We are going for our 10 year anniversary and I chose this room because it really wasn't that much more. You can join Wyndham by request and hope for an upgrade but I didn't want to chance it. It took us 10 years for a second honeymoon and I wanted it to be perfect and wanted to get the room I wanted. My feeling is it is your honeymoon and you should be guaranteed the room you want. Pay the extra money and then it will be one less thing to worry about while planning your wedding. Good luck with you plans and I am sure that with whatever room you choose, you won't be disappointed.

RE: WYNDHAM ROOMS TO REQUEST

I reserved a standard room floors 5 - 8 and was asked if I wanted floor 9, 11, or 17 when we arrived. I chose floor 904 since it was the first room back on the side of the building (right behind the oceanfront suites) that overlooked the pool. The higher the number the farther back you are on the side. The pool side has only double beds towards the front of the building so you may not want that for the wonderful honeymoon. :-( floor 9 was high enough to have a good view too. The sun sets on the pool side but not much else for a view. The view on the other side isn't that bad of the other hotels and the mountains. It's just your preference. You do need to get up at 6:30AM - 7:00AM to get in line for the free huts on the beach. After Sunday arrivals everyone realizes that and the line starts early for the opening of the counter at 8AM. You don't have to sit out there then but by 11AM they may reassign your hut to someone else.
