Has anyone stayed at the Wyndham since Ivan? We are going for our 4th visit in December, but I had heard they experienced quite a bit of flood damage from Ivan. Anyone????

I read reports of people who were there during Ivan and there were no major problems according to them. I think an area of the lobby may have flooded, but that was it. i'm sure all is well by now. If you are still in doubt, then contact the Wyndham directly.

Remember to become by request members if you are not already and to e-mail the resort a week before your stay.

We just returned from a 10 day stay at the Wyndham. No hurricane damage, no flooding. The beach has a little "hill" now, but it is still beautiful.

Didn't the beach at the Wyndham always have a little hill entering the water?

The beach is not as it was. The little hill is now at the edge of the huts. A lot of beach/sand was gone. There was some water damage but all was quickly cleaned up. We were there the last week of Sept. and it was fine around the pool but no space to get out on the beach. I went out at 8:30AM and all the good huts were taken. There were big groups of children taking most of the beach. This was upsetting since their were not staying at the hotel. I have and love children but these groups took over the beach. I expected more from a Wyndham Resort.
