Wyndham Trip Report

Wife and I stayed at the Wyndhan last week. Had a good visit. Second time there. Last time four years ago. It was even better this time.

Food good at Wynham and elsewhere. This is an island. Service is slow compared to what you get at home (US) so just be aware of that and don't get your panites in a wad.

Highlights of the Wyndham are the 1. Nice beach hut area 2. Good Dining 3. Cuba show is back. We went first night they were back. 4. Even casino was fun this time. Try the nichol machine where you can play hours on $5 and get free drinks.

Weather was very nice. Cloudy sometimes but that passes. Only really rained good for about 5 minitues. Kinda refreshing.

Take the bus to town for $2 roundtrip. Safe. But really no reason to leave the hotel area. Nice walkway in front of hotel.

Hotel internet service was in the business office but closed on the weekend. Cost is $10 for first 10 minitues and $10 for next 20 minities.

Room very nice. Bring liquer with you. Spice rum was $33 a bottle.

We took bug spray as advised, but only had one bite. But good idea to take the spray if you plan walking at night. Not really a problem.

Re: Wyndham Trip Report

Oh yes, we booked our trip on the internet on the hotel's web site. Since we had been there before felt comfortable doing that.

Boy we that a good idea. The internet rate included the hotel tax. Plus when we called the number to confirm we found out we got buffet breakfast every day. That turned out to be great as they serve a large beakfast every day all the way to 12 noon.

Plus we got $100 food and drink credit.

So we saved some money by booking on the hotel web site.

Plus we took the advise from this forum and joined Wyndham By Request, even after booking our reservation. They link it to your reservation. Got an upgraded room, so it was worth it.

Re: Wyndham Trip Report

When you check out, make sure they give you the $100 food and drink credit on your bill. They have us that deal also, but it was was not credited to our bill at check-out.

just FYI since it happened to us.
