I think Bucuti would fit the bill. Check with Travel Unlimited 1-800-228-1502 as they specialize in Aruba.

I would suggest Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort. Their website photos of the resort are stunning.

Amsterdam Manor is across the street from the beach and their "stunning" website photos are EXTREMELY DECEIVING!!!!!!

Dave,

Since you're going in August, places shouldn't be too crowded. From what I've heard (and researched) stay at one of the low-rise resorts opposed to the hi-rise hotels if you want more privacy / less people.

I've had good experiences checking out packages online at the Travelocity.com website. They seem to have the best rates compared to others such as Expedia, Orbitz, etc.

I have a one bedroom timeshare available in July at Paradise Beach Villas on beautiful Eagle Beach. Paradise is a small resort of about 80 units - very quiet and peaceful. It is located next door to LaCabana which is very large and family oriented. My unit is a one bedroom with full kitchen. Please e-mail me if you want further information.

Re: young couple with no kids

I've stayed at Amsterdam Manor....yes, they're across the street from the beach but it's only a narrow service road that takes a few steps to cross (your room is alot closer to the beach than the rooms in the high rise hotels.) We had a wonderful time there (our 10th trip to Aruba) and I don't believe their website photos are "deceiving" at all - it's a great resort! We'll be staying there again this year on two trips.
