Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) has confirmed additional summer charter service from Canada by Canadian Tour Operator, Thomas Cook, to be operated by Westjet. The charter program will be in effect from May 1, 2010 through October 30, 2010 between Toronto and Aruba. Westjet will operate the flight with a B737-700 or 800 aircraft with either 136 or 166 seats configured on board. The flights are scheduled to depart on Saturdays at 13:20 local Toronto Time and arrive in Aruba at 18:19 local time.

The Canadian market has been a consistent market for Aruba for the past few years. Even though it is primarily a seasonal charter market, our Tour Operators have proved that there is opportunity for year round operations as well.

“We are extremely pleased receiving the slot request from Westjet for additional charter service from Canada” said Peter Steinmetz, Managing Director AAA, “we are confident that it will not be long before we will have year round scheduled service from Toronto and are working with our tourism partners in achieving this goal together.”
