Now Aruba will have two flights from the UK!
Aruba Tourism Authority y First Choice announced an additional flight to Aruba from the UK starting May 08 to October 23, 2007 from Manchester International Airport. The charter flight from First Choice will be a direct flight and will take nine hours & 45 minutes.
These new flights operating from Manchester are a continuation of the successful charter flights by First Choice from the London Gatwick Airport.
Manchester holidaymakers have a new Caribbean destination on their doorstep thanks to tour operator First Choice starting a direct charter service to Aruba from next year.
Flights to this increasingly popular Dutch Caribbean island will operate from Manchester International Airport fortnightly on Tuesdays from May 8, 2007 until October 23, 2007 departing at 10:15am. The First Choice charter flies directly to Aruba in nine hours and 45 minutes.
The Manchester flight follows on the success of First Choice’s London-Gatwick services to the island, which have been in operation since 2004 and also continue next year.
“Over the past few years there has been a sharp rise in the demand for holidays to the Caribbean in the Manchester area,” commented Humphrey Vrolijk, Area Director for Europe for the Aruba Tourism Authority commented, ‘and with Aruba offering an alternative to the better-known islands, we are hoping for great things. “First Choice has long been a great supporter of Aruba, as the popularity of the Gatwick flights have shown, and we are sure the island is going to be just as popular for people in the north-west of England.”
The charter flights to Aruba from Manchester and Gatwick are linked to 14-night stays on the island, with prices leading in at £635 per person, based on room-only accommodation at the Brickell Bay Beach Club, a two star-plus rated hotel.
First Choice offers a choice of six hotels, Holiday Inn Sun Spree Aruba, La Cabana All Suite Resort, Tamarijn Aruba Beach Resort, including the four-star, recently refurbished, all-inclusive Occidental Grand Aruba located on Palm Beach.
Flights will be operated by one of First Choice’s own Boeing 767 aircraft, which feature its Star Class Premier which, for a fare supplement, offers additional legroom, choice of four course meal, free drinks and personal seat back TV screen, with a choice of 30 channels and video on demand.
