Aruba is happy to announce that Continental Airlines has changed its flight times to and from Aruba’s Queen Beatrix International Airport out of George Bush International Airport in an effort to increase its market share from the airline’s gateway city, Houston.

As of June 10, 2006, Continental Airlines will depart from Houston at 9:30 a.m. and arrive on Aruba at 3:15 p.m. Previously, the same flight departed Houston at 1:35 p.m. and did not arrive on island until 7:07 p.m. Due to the late arrival, the airline would overnight on island and depart with passengers at 9:35 a.m. to arrive back into Houston at 1:15 p.m. The return flights will now depart Aruba at 4:15 p.m. and arrive back in Houston at 7:55 p.m.

The new flight times gives sun and sand devotees more time on island to maximize Aruba’s near-perfect weather, float in the crystal clear waters or just enjoy the famous warmth and hospitality of the Aruban people. And, Aruba erases the stress of ever having to reschedule a trip as the tropical paradise is located outside the hurricane belt, making it the ideal summer getaway! Continental Airlines’ new flight times will operate on Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday and will still allow for connections from several Western cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, New Orleans, Seattle and more. Continental Airlines starting rates from Houston to Aruba are only $508.30 roundtrip, per person.
