As part of the Year Of Culture celebratons, the National Archive & Museum launches an almost unknown part of Aruba’s history with the Exposition “Heritage of the Slaves.” The exposition runs from March 1 to July 1 and is open from Monday to Friday from 08.00 to 4.30 pm, on Tuesday  and Thursday till 8 pm and on every first Sunday of the Month from 10.00am to 2.00pm. Entrance fee is US$ 1,50 per person and childeren 12 years and younger are free.

Aruba Tourism Authority also supports Aruba’s Year of Culture by highlighting a local personality each month throughout 2008 on the homepage of Aruba’s official website.

More support for the Year of Culture! Copa Cabana Casino at the Hyatt Regency Aruba is also bringing Aruba’s famous landmarks to the casino table. The new table layout & designs were done locally and showcase Aruba’s culture and heritage. The tables were changed during the first week of 2008 paying tribute to Aruba’s Year of Culture.

In support of Aruba’s Year of Culture, L.G. Smith Steak & Chop House  just started a new collectable campaing of silver plated coins ( four in total)  featuring Aruba’s landmarks. These coins are presented at the end of a memorable meal as a keepsakeor a  perfect souvenir.
