Aruba is proud to announce the star-studded lineup for the Sixth Annual Soul Beach Music Festival this Memorial Day weekend (May 24 – 29)! The 2006 Soul Beach Music Festival will boast world-renowned R&B artists, hysterical comedians and will deliver unforgettable rhythms, grooves and beats on Aruba’s pristine white sand beaches. The Caribbean paradise promises five days chock-full of festivities including amazing performances by nine-time Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Alicia Keys, music superstar Brian McKnight, hit maker Anthony Hamilton, legendary Lenny Williams and the dynamic duo, Nina Sky, transforming Aruba’s shores into a musical lovers playground.
The Sixth Annual Soul Beach Music Festival will blend the warmth of the Caribbean sun with the heat from chart-topping hit makers sure to leave music aficionados exhilarated. The groundbreaking musical icon, Alicia Keys, best known for her incredible voice, soulful ballads and as a piano prodigy, will perform. In 2002 Keys’ album “The Diary of Alicia Keys,” won an astonishing five Grammy Awards for Song of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Best R&B Song and Best R&B Album. Keys was most recently honored as Entertainer of the Year Award by the National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters. Superstar Brian McKnight, who is not only a singer but also an arranger and producer, will astound festival goers with his timeless ballads as will legend Lenny Williams, best known for his hit song “Cause I Love You.” Grammy Award nominee Anthony Hamilton will hit Aruba’s stage and bring the island a breathtaking performance sure to include his hit single “Charlene.” To top off the talent-filled weekend, multi-talented singing sisters, Nina Sky, will bring their memorable melodies to the Caribbean shores.
In addition to once-in-a-lifetime concerts, Aruba’s Soul Beach Music Festival will feature the hilarity of side-splitting comedians, sure to leave sun and san devotees doubled over in laughter. The party continues as the island hosts various beach parties hosted by top U.S. disc jockeys and celebrity radio personalities, fun-filled events at Aruba’s hottest nightclubs and much more.
