The second edition of the Aruba Rembrandt Regatta will take place from August 13 – 15. 3 days of parties, 2 days of races! Join the Aruba Rembrandt Regatta for 3 spectacular Yacht Races, 5 Sunfish Races, 5 Beachcat Races, 4 Windsurf Competitions, 3 Kitesurf Competitions, Kitesurf-Freestyle Demonstrations, Swimming Competition, the all new Beach Party and much more!
A team of about 30 volunteers, supported by the team of Cafe Rembrandt and the Dutch Marines, is preparing for this yearly event in order to make the organization during the races run smoothly. Participants from Aruba, Curacao, Venezuela, St Maarten, the Netherlands and even as far as South Africa will join the yacht races. The windsurfing, kitesurfing, beach cat and sunfish competition will be spectacular since spectators can follow all the races from the beach. To wash away all the racing stress, there will be a swimming competition at the regatta site on Saturday at 5 pm.
The beach festival on Saturday promises to be a great success with a live performance by Ear Plugs at 6 pm and music by Club Arashi. The bar, restaurant and ice cream parlour will be open from 10 am until 11 pm. The parties with live performances will be at Cafe Rembrandt for the opening on Friday at 7 pm and the award ceremony and closing dinner on Sunday at 7 pm. The Dutch Marines will be on-site during the Regatta weekend and will have demonstrations of their skills on Saturday and Sunday at 12:30.
