While on vacation on the island, visitors always express their desire to indulge their passion for fresh seafood and just-caught-fish. In anticipating of that wish, the food & beverage team of the Hilton Aruba Caribbean Resort & Casino decided to create its own daily fish and seafood market, in-house. They commissioned local fishermen to deliver their catch of the day, Snapper, Grouper, Mahi Mahi and Wahoo which are most commonly caught in Aruba’s waters, directly to the resort kitchen, in preparation for nightly fish market dinners.
The Fish & Seafood Market unfolds at Gilligan’s seaside restaurant and features a delectable array of appetizers such as Caesar and Caprese Salad, Seafood Chowder, Shrimp Tempura, Calamari Fritti or the freshest, lime cured Grouper Ceviche.
Diners may then continue with a custom prepared main course featuring numerous options of fresh fish in combination with Shrimp or Lobster at different sizes, depending on the volume of their appetites. All entrees may be combined with different, tasty sides, and a choice of sauces.
Other dinner specialties featured on the Fish & Seafood Market menu include Spanish Paella, a fragrant and generous mix of saffron Spanish rice with scallops, calamari, mussels, shrimp and broiled lobster.
For the landlubber, the menu lists Roasted Chicken, Gourmet Cheese Burgers or Skirt Steaks as tasty options, and vegetarians will find the restaurant’s Vegetable Filled Crepes, ample and satisfying.
