The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba is expanding the ways that guests of its Italian-inspired restaurant, Solanio, can experience authentic cuisine. The hotel recently introduced a handcrafted Limoncello that makes the restaurant’s experience even more memorable.
Inspired by the Italian heritage of the restaurant, one of the gentlemen who works at the restaurant shared his family recipe of home-made Limoncello, and the culinary team created the Limoncello Martini, a unique artisan cocktail featuring this handcrafted liqueur.
As a sensational introduction to a delectable dining experience, servers suggest that guests try the Limoncello Martini – which is also prepared with gluten-free vodka. The rustic and artisanal presentation of this cocktail combines perfectly with the intense lemon flavor, which is smooth and velvety in texture.
And, as a traditional Italian digestif, the actual handcrafted Limoncello is offered on the aperitif menu, at the end of dinner.
To wrap up the exquisite Italian culinary experience on a sweet note, every guest at Solanio is gifted with a delicious truffle made of white chocolate and Limoncello ganache filling with dark chocolate coating.
The Limoncello experience is the latest in a series of experiences at Solanio that feature authentic, handcrafted tastes. The lobster ravioli is prepared tableside by the chef, giving guests an opportunity to feast with their eyes as flavorful ingredients like heirloom tomatoes and asparagus are sautéed, then combined with maine lobster and home-made lobster bisque to make one of the restaurant’s most popular dishes.
Even the homemade salad dressing bursts with bright citrus and rich, premium extra virgin olive oil, leaving guests with a sensation of dining in someone’s home.
