The Westin Resort & Casino, Aruba is proud to have been named the “Best Value Resort” in Islands magazine's 2013 Best of the Caribbean: Readers’ Choice Awards! The results of the survey were announced in the current May, 2013 edition now on newsstands and online.  

Ready, set, shoot! Those were the exact words that all five vloggers were told, when they arrived in Aruba. From April 14-18, five video bloggers “vloggers” were invited by the Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino and Diamond PR to capture the essence of the destination of Aruba and the resort. 

This week marks the tenth visit to the island of Aruba for New York couple, the Libasci's. One of their favorite restaurants on the island, Aqua Grill, has become a decade-long tradition.  Aqua Grill, who incidentally has been open for just a little over 10 years, is much like the island of Aruba—enjoying a high “repeat ratio” of guests.

Big hair, large sun glasses, bright colorful décor and groovy beats set the ambiance for Marriott’s 70s/80s welcome reception for the Annual Tourism Conference Aruba (ATCA). Over 80 ATCA delegates including the top wholesalers, travel agents and airline partners gathered annually in Aruba to network with the Aruba Hotels and Tourism Association (AHATA) members and Aruba’s Destination Management companies.

This week, the Annual Tourism Conference of Aruba was held, with some 70 travel partners within the North American market, including airlines, travel wholesalers, and online travel sites, coming to the island to strategize, brainstorm, network, and receive updates on Aruba’s tourism product.  Hosted by the Aruba Tourism Authority and the Ministry of Tourism, the delegates enjoyed a full menu of events, market places, and activities throughout this week.

PALM BEACH--This past Saturday evening, Westin Resort & Casino, Aruba turned off its lights in observance of Earth Hour, a worldwide event organized by the World Wildlife Fund to send a powerful global message about environmental awareness and caring for the planet.

Aruba’s newest full service tour and transfer operator, FOFOTI TOURS & TRANSFERS, launched a photo contest on February 15th offering couples the opportunity to win big in February and especially those who were on Times Square NYC on Valentine’s Day!

On Saturday February 23, 2013 the Marriott Aruba Care Foundation took the initiative to plant new trees and flower pots at local elementary school Fatima College in Dakota.

Recently, three-time US Figure Skating Champion Johnny Weir vacationed on the island, enjoying the hospitality of the Westin Resort & Casino, Aruba for the second year in a row. Joined by his husband, Victor Voronov, Johnny took advantage of the time to refresh and renew before gearing up for an intense training regime in preparation for the next Winter Olympics in 2014.

The Travelife Gold award was honored to Manchebo Beach Resort and Spa just during the month of January 2013. Travelife is a travel industry-led organization, where tour operators in Europe and accommodation providers are committed to providing holidaymakers with more sustainable hotels.
